Deborah, Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate in the Career Transition course. The Professional Skills Module was excellent! It gave me a lot of new fresh ideas on selling myself in this market. I left feeling invigorated and ready to take on my job search with a whole new attitude. The flyer you passed out with the reading festival on it, had uncommon friends foundation on it and it was like a sign. I left there and called a friend, who was recently made thier marketing coordinator and asked if they needed any help volunteering, as luck would have it they had the symphony playing that weekend and she needed help taking money. I worked all day with her and met a lot of interesting people and wound up with a small job (4 hours a week) helping with their bookkeeping and computer maintenance. It is a foot in the door and a great way to network on top of being involved in a great organization! You really made a difference.

Her recent “Transition to Life” workshop was particularly relevant and inspiring for our students who will soon be leaving the classroom for the real world. Deborah, It was so amazing meeting you yesterday! If I could describe the meeting yesterday in four words, refreshing, invigorating, inspiring, and powerful are best fitting. Your class "Time Blocking/Time Management and Organization at the Business Industry Services has helped me so much. This series was absolutely the most enriching experience I have ever had, in both an educational seminar and/or networking event.
